William T. Hernandez, 26, of Swoyersville, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, due to complications from a motorcycle accident sustained on April 19, 2025.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, William was the beloved son of "Spanky" Hernandez of Nanticoke and Donna Schuch of Swoyersville. He was a proud graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and worked as a property manager for Tortino Properties.
William had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures—he loved listening to oldies music and had a passion for riding motorcycles. Known for his big heart, William made the selfless decision to become an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others even in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Donna (Mark Arnold) Schuch, "Spanky" (Janet Benjamin) Hernandez; his maternal grandfather, Francis Schuch; his fiancée, Kaycee; siblings Shane Hernandez, Paige Schuch, and Sean Benjamin-Hernandez; step sisters Samantha and Tiffany Arnold and step brother Charles Arnold as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, close cousins and his cherished dog, Rook.
A funeral service followed by his “Last Ride” will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Piatt Funeral and Cremation Services, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek to Maple Hill Cemetery, 68 E. St Marys Rd, Hanover Twp. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
