STEPHEN LIPKA

Stephen Lipka, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Lakewood Rehab & Healthcare.

Born on November 11, 1938 in Hunlock Creek, he was the son of the late Michael & Stephania Locke Lipka.  Stephen was a graduate of Shickshinny High School Class of 1956.  He went on to work  as a butcher at Wise Markets  and then as a lineman at Procter & Gamble.  Stephen served the country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany from November 1961- November 1963, and was a recipiant of a Good Conduct Medal.  He enjoyed model trains, especially American Flyer, watching football, and making ceramics.

Left to cherish his memory, is his beloved wife Esther Yarnell Lipka, sons Michael of Hunlock Creek, and Matthew of Orange,  Pamela Ann Minnick of Lake Wanola, and four grandsons Tyler Minnick, Zayne Lipka, Wade Lipka, and Sean Wolfe.  

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Walter Lipka.  

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 12 at 11:00 am at Piatt Funeral & Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek with Pastor Jim McGee officiating.  Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park in Dallas.
