Rosalie Roe, 84, of Sweet Valley passed away peacefully with family by her side at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital on September 1, 2023.
Born November 4, 1938, Rosalie was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Parent. Rosalie was employed as a manager for the Salvation Army for many years. She enjoyed crafting and sewing, especially making curtains. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her son, Joseph Gronski, and her beloved dog Penny.
She is survived by her daughters, Doreen Polhemus and her husband Raymond, New Jersey,
Diana Strunk (Dave), Tunkhannock, Janelle Rood and her husband Robert, Sweet Valley; sons, Christopher, Sweet Valley, and Todd and his wife Richele, Hunlock Creek; grandsons, Ryan Polhemus, Gregory Strunk, Carter Roe; granddaughters, Haley Roe, Ashley Hoffman (Peter), Sarah Rood (Matthew), Sevara Roe; and great-granddaughter Natalie.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and Residential Hospice for the great care given to Rosalie during her short stay.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7 at 10am at Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with William Nast officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 6 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.
