RICHARD PARTINGTON Obituary

Richard L. Partington, of Nanticoke, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

 

Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Byron E. and Belva M. Mitchell Partington and served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.  He worked as a custodian and was a LA Dodgers and NY Jets Fan.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Byron Partington Jr. and sister Shirley Pearson.

 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Justine Benedict Partington; children Shannon Marhold of Nanticoke, Christy (Tim) Kuniega of Nanticoke; two stepchildren, Brandy (Tony) Andrews of Dover, PA, Amy (Jeremy) Janusziewicz of New Castle; grandchildren, Sierra, Bryce, Colton, Sheena, Jinger, Carter, Hudson; one great grandchildren, Archer; brother Charles E. Partington of Alliance, OH; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek with interment in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas.

 

Friends are invited to join the family from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
