REV. WILLIAM N. WILLIAMS

Reverend William N. Williams, 83, of Shickshinny, passed away in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late David and Thelma Muchler Williams and was a graduate of GAR High School and Central Jersey Bible Institute where he earned his Associates Degree in Theology. Rev. Williams was a member of the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches and worked as a minister in various churches, most recently in Hollisterville Bible Church, Moscow. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with family and watching baseball and football. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during from 1963 to 1965 and he also worked with The Youth For Christ Ministry in Wilkes Barre.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Ruth Havard, Frances Eddy, Sarah Rubel, Benjamin Williams, Rev. Arthur Williams and most recently Thelma Perch.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonnie Jean Davenport Williams; daughters, Kelly Williams of Johnson City, TN, Vonda Proctor  and her husband, Rick Proctor of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Jonathan and Courtney Bell, Evelyn, Gavin and Ava Proctor and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek with interment following in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm and Wednesday morning from 10:30 am until time of service.
