Michelle Lee Kunkle

Michelle Lee Kunkle, 55, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at home with family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Angeline Sandra Corrigan Norton of Wilkes-Barre and the late Charles Norton. Michelle worked for Northwest Area Intermediate School, Hunlock Creek in the Housekeeping Department and loved spending time with family.  Michelle liked to decorate and had one of the best houses on the street decorated for Halloween and Christmas.  She enjoyed gardening, listening to country music; watching movies and antique hunting.

She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Norton in addition to her father.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving family, husband John Kunkle; son Michael Kunkle of Kingston; daughter Jessica Burke of Hunlock Creek; one grandson Carter and sister Lisa Natishan of Swiftwater.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:00 pm from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 4:00 pm till time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions if desired, may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
