MICHAEL W. HASSAY

Michael W. Hassay, 66, of St. Leonard, MD passed away on December 21, 2024 in St. Leonard, MD.

Mike was born in Washington DC in 1958. The son of William F. Hassay and Sarah A. Hassay, and grew up in Rockville Maryland with his 3 brothers William, John, and Stephen.

He leaves behind his three children Nicholas, Zachary, and Sarah. 6 grandchildren Gavin, Logan, Santiago, Diego, Luciana, and Matias. His father and three brothers.

Mike graduated from Rockville High School in 1976 and was a general contractor, a business owner, marine mechanic, and master carpenter. Mike was an avid sailor, scuba diver, camper, and world traveler. He had traveled to Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Mexico, Belize, Puerto Rico, and nearly the entire United States.
Mike was always light-hearted and a habitual jokester, he was a crowd favorite of his grandkids, family, with neighbors around the marina, and friends. He will be missed dearly.

Graveside Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Bloomingdale Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.
