MARIE C. YARNELL

Marie C. Yarnell, 85, of Stillwater, died Monday, May 27, 2024, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Yanashonis Simonovich and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School.  Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and bird watching. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in St. Martha's Church.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son David Yarnell, son Timothy J. Yarnell; sisters Frances Barry, Bettyann Mazzetelli and brother William Simonovich.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 60 years David Yarnell; children Deborah Yarnell, Robert (Jody) Yarnell, Douglas Yarnell, all of Stillwater; seven grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Oliphant, David Yarnell, Nicholas Yarnell, Nerissa Yarnell, Tony Bower, Brittany Bower, Deric Rood; sister Barbara Niedjaco; great grandchildren Remi Oliphant, Lorelei Yarnell, Evin Rood; nieces, nephews and border collie Millie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 am in Holy Spirit Parish in St. Martha's Church, 260 Bonnieville Rd. Stillwater.
