Louise T. Baker, of Nanticoke, formerly of Sweet Valley, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lillian Wiesniewski Tapia and was a home health caregiver. She was a huge Polka music fan and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her favorite nephew, Romeo and favorite granddaughter, Ava.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Baker, Sr. daughter, Angela Baker, step daughter Tina Baker' siblings, Julia Kashnicki, Frances Fromel, Victor and Louis Tapia.
She is survived by her son, Theordore Baker, Jr. and his fiancee Brittany of Sweet Valley; step son, Edward Baker; grandchildren, Ava, Austin, Kameron Baker; great grandchild, Aria Rose; siblings, MaryAnn Andrewkitis of Shickshinny, Lillian Penko of Nanticoke and her loving caring niece, with whom she resided, Christine Daylida of Nanticoke.
Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 9:45 am from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Route 29, Hunlock Creek. At 10:30 am. Interment will follow in the parish Cemetery.
Friends are invited from 8:45 am until time of service at the funeral home.
