LINDA ARCHAVAGE

Linda L. Archavage, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Hunlock Creek, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Louise McMichael Cragle; graduated from Northwest High School in 1960 and earned her nursing degree from the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Nursing School.  Being a woman of great faith, she was active with the Oakdale Independent Church and its women's society. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a girl scout leader for numerous years. She was a NASCAR fan, an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. One of her favorite places to travel was Lancaster and the Poconos. She loved animals, especially her cats Coe and Cream. She was employed as a Nurse at the Wilkes-Barre General and Nesbitts hospitals, prior to retirement.

Linda was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her siblings Rebecca Thompson and Delmar Cragle.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Tammy Archavage of Hunlock Creek, Jill Hoyt of Monroe Township; grandchildren Christoffer (Rehanna) Dunsmuir, Ryan Dunsmuir, Alexander Hoyt, Brandon Hoyt; husband of 24 years and companion Joseph Archavage, brother Lowell Cragle; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Oakdale Independent Church, 485 Oakdale Drive, Hunlock Creek with Pastor Roger Noss officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm at the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek.
