Joseph G. Maciejaszek Jr., 70, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on May 4, 2026, at Lakewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on July 29, 1955, he was the son of the late Joseph G. Maciejaszek Sr. and Dolores Yonkowski Maciejaszek.
Joseph attended Wyoming Valley West High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he went on to build a career as a private contractor and later in life, owned his own butcher shop. An avid outdoorsman, Joseph found great joy in hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Lake Silkworth Sportsman Club, and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his daughter, Tessa Medeiros, her husband, C.J., and his grandson, Luke. He is also survived by two sons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Paquette, and his infant brother, Anthony Maciejaszek.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with interment in St. Mary of the Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.
Arrangements are under the direction of Piatt Funeral and Cremation.
