JEREMY D. LAMOREAUX

Jeremy D. Lamoreaux, 43, of Benton, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 following a tragic accident at work.

Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of David Lamoreaux of Shickshinny and Dorene I. Brink (Edgar) Turner of Dallas.  He served his country proudly in the United States National Guard for 21 years, doing three tours. He was the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award); Army Good Conduct Medal; Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (3rd Award); National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award) and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device.

He was a truck driver and mechanic working for Berley Gas and Oil and was a faithful husband, loving father and son.  Jeremy loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing his many guitars and riding his Harley Motorcycle. He was a member of the Shickshinny Sylvan Lodge Masonic Lodge for 16 years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Lamoreaux Welsh in 2019 and grandparents, Delberta and James Brink and Anna and Woodrow Lamoreaux.

In addition to his parents and step father, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Christina Souder Lamoreaux; daughter, Bianca Lamoreaux; brother, David Lamoreaux and many friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1:30 pm from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek with a visitation from 12:00 noon until time of service.
