JEAN S. STRAIT

Jean S. Strait, 90, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, Nanticoke.

Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late William and Sadie Travelpiece Beck. Jean worked at RCA in Mountain Top, prior to retirement; enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray R. Strait Jr.; sons Robert W. and Neil K. Strait; siblings, Willis (Jim), William and Jackie Beck.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, son Wade Strait of Shickshinny, daughter Lori David and her husband, William “Bill” of Glen Lyon; grandchildren, Darren Strait, Ryan Pucci, Asa Strait, Reilee David, Jessica Kile; great grandchildren Ryan Pucci Jr. Gabby Pucci, Cora Strait, Serenity and Carter Pucci, Bre and Tucker Kile; brother, Dennis Beck and his wife, Caroline of Wapwallopen, adopted daughter, Mary Urban, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 8 from 4 to 6 pm and Monday morning from 10:30 am until time of service.
