DORIS M. ROYER

Doris M. Royer, of Shickshinny, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in River View Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born in Hunlock Creek, she was the daughter of the late Claud and Hazle Marie Hummel Wright and was a graduate of Harter High School. She enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, cooking, crafts and going to Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Royer, sons, Richard Royer Jr and Melvin Royer; two sisters and one brother.

Doris is survived by her children, Bonnie Wilson, Joseph Royer (Derek), Terri Mundy, Tracie Rinehimer (William) also daughters-in-law Cheryl and Nancy Royer.  Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek with a visitation from 10:00 am until time of service.  Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke.
