DONALD R. MOORE

Donald R. Moore, of Hunlock Creek, died on Friday, December 27, 2024 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Corey W. and Anna Rinker Moore and was a graduate of Northwest High School.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army and worked for Mooretown Mill and Landscaping.  He loved spending time with family, scrapping and watching Western movies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Hartman; daughter Anna Allen; brothers Corey, Paul, Vernon, Walter and Russell Moore and sisters Kathryn Dorsett and Charlotte Mitchell.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rebecca Scarpelli and her husband Keith, Shannon Keiser, Tina Carey, Donald Moore Allen, June Allen; grandchildren; great grandchildren and sister Shirley Moore.

Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 12:00 noon with military honors from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek.  

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 11:00 am until time of service.

Memorial contributions may to made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
