DAVID L. BLOOM

David Lloyd Bloom, 81, of Hunlock Creek, died on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Allied Hospice, Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Hallstead, he was the son of the late William L. and Emma Jean Cragle Bloom and was a graduate of Northwest High School. David was employed as a fleet service agent for US Airways and was a former member of the Lions Club and son of the American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, playing golf and an occasional trip to the casino.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Leroy Bloom.

David is survived by his loving wife, Larena Muntz Bloom, children, Loydene (Bill) of Mohnton, PA, Daelene (Duane) Long of Hunlock Creek and David Bloom of Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Kasey, Zachary, Mystic, Bill and Asha; great grandchildren, Emma and Rosaleen; siblings, Barbara Redmond, William Bloom and Lynn Bloom, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:30 am from the Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Drive, Hunlock Creek, with interment in Bloomingdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm and on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until time of service.
