BARBARA J. VOGEN

Barbara J. Vogen, 84, of Shickshinny, passed away on September 21, 2022.

Born and raised in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Josephine Ptashinski and married Edward Vogen of Ashley in 1960.  They moved to Milford, CT and later returned to the Shickshinny area where they lived together until his death in 1992.  Barbara attended Nanticoke schools and worked in sewing factories in Alden, PA and Stratford, CT.  

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by her daughter Deborah Fassman; son David Vogen and brother, Rober Ptashinski.

Barbara is survived by her grandchildren, Noah Fassman of Nicholson, Courtney (Richard) Carey of Montgomery; two great grandchildren, Lucifer Fassman and Sylar Carey; brother Ronald (Barbara) Ptashinski of Dallas; sister Eileen (Dale) Williams of Shickshinny and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Barbara's request, there will be no visitation or viewing. Interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas.  A prayer would be appreciated.
