Arlene S. Cragle

Arlene Cragle, 92, of Shickshinny, passed away peacefully at her home on September 3, 2026.

She was born on June 5, 1934, and was the daughter of the late George and Alberta Lanning. Arlene was a member of Reyburn Bible Church. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found great joy in cooking and canning and in sharing the fruits of her labor with those she loved.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cragle; her son, Jeffrey Cragle; her great-grandson, Jeffrey Cragle; and her sister, Sue Piatt.

She is survived by her son, Robert Cragle; daughter-in-law, Eva Cragle; grandchildren, Erin Whitesell, Jeffrey Cragle, Robert Cragle, and Michelle Yarnell; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, George Lanning; and numerous extended family members.

Arlene will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for the love she gave to her family and the many memories she created with them.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from Piatt Funeral and Cremation, 6 Sunset Lake Rd., Hunlock Creek. Interment will follow in Bloomingdale Cemetery.
